Victoria, Scotland, Silver Proof Patina

We say this is Rare because they only made 90 pieces in Proof Sterling Silver and Coincraft bought them all. The obverse is brilliant Proof and looks exactly like the Jubilee Head Crown of Queen Victoria but with the date at the end of the legend. The reverse is Matt Proof and has the map of Scotland with a crown and thistle imposed over it. It is full crown sized and a very handsome piece, with a very low mintage and a very reasonable price. If you lay the coin down with the obverse or head side up, everyone would think it is a Proof Silver Crown of Queen Victoria of the Jubilee Head type. It is one of the nicest Patina issues that INA has done and when we saw it, we had to buy them all, so that our collectors would have the chance to own one.

Serbian Eagle Badge

This is one that we just found in one of our warehouses. It was issued 1992-5 for the soldiers in the Bosnian-Serb Army. During the Civil War those who felt for Serbia rather than Yugoslavia wore these badges with pride. You have the crowned double headed eagle with a red and white badge across its chest. There is a screw fastening with the name ‘Picado Company’ on the back. We thought we were out of them and would never see them again, but we did find 65 pieces. Get them while you can…
