In 1976 the United States celebrated its bicentennial of independence 1776-1976.The US Mint issued three unique one year only coins to celebrate this bicentennial, 25c, 50c and $1.00. We have selected the 50c because it features the portrait of President Kennedy who was assassinated in 1963. Each coin is in choice Proof condition and to make it even more attractive we have placed it in a specially imprinted snap lock case. Remember, this design was only struck for one year the 1976 American Bicentennial.

Back then the country was still ruled by General Francisco Franco, whose portrait appears on the obverse. The reverse side shows the heraldic emblems of Castille, Leon, Aragon, and Navarre, the four historic kingdoms that went on to become what we now know as Spain, arranged within a floral design.
