In 1976 the United States celebrated its bicentennial of independence 1776-1976.The US Mint issued three unique one year only coins to celebrate this bicentennial, 25c, 50c and $1.00. We have selected the 50c because it features the portrait of President Kennedy who was assassinated in 1963. Each coin is in choice Proof condition and to make it even more attractive we have placed it in a specially imprinted snap lock case. Remember, this design was only struck for one year the 1976 American Bicentennial.

Back in 1966, or 2509 in the country’s Buddhist Era calendar, Thailand hosted the Fifth Asian Games (V Asiad). This 1 baht commemorative coin was struck in copper-nickel to mark the occasion. On the obverse we see the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and Queen Sikrit facing right, while the reverse shows the symbol of the Asian Games, the sun with 16 rays with the “Ever Onward” motto for the event. In 1966 Spain issued its first ever 100 peseta coin in silver, as the few that had been issued previously were all struck in gold. Back then the country was still ruled by General Francisco Franco, whose portrait appears on the obverse. The reverse side shows the heraldic emblems of Castille, Leon, Aragon, and Navarre, the four historic kingdoms that went on to become what we now know as Spain, arranged within a floral design.
