Part of a series issued by the United Nations Food For All (FAO) organization in Rome. This medal was issued to highlight Science for Agriculture and struck in 1983.

The medal is 50mm in diameter and struck in high relief in bronze. 

On one side you have a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci with the legend LEONARDO and FAO ROME and on the other side some plants with the legend 'SCIENCE FOR AGRICULTURE'.

A beautiful art medal with the engraved signature of the artists J. PAVLVS and GIANDOMENICO.

A handsome piece of modern sculpture in uncirculated condition.
