In 1999 the Webb Ellis Cup Final was hosted by the Welsh Rugby Union. To honour this even the Royal Mint issued a Special Commemorative £2 coin. Here we are offering the collector's versions in silver. Although they are struck in Sterling Silver, to imitate the base metal bi-metallic currency issues, the Royal Mint gold plated the outer rim of the Silver Proof Coins. Struck in Proof Sterling Silver and come in a protective capsule as issued by the Mint. Supplies are very limited.

For those of you who like football, in 1996 the Royal Mint issued a special commemorative £2 coin for the European Championship that was held in this country. You have a most interesting and innovative design on this coin and one which they, unfortunately, have not repeated. You had the whole reverse covered by a football and with the planchet concave you have a stunning coin. We are offering here is the Sterling Silver proof variant. This was the last of the large-sized £2 pieces and in our opinion the most attractive and innovative.

In 2006 the Royal Mint issued a special Proof Set, not only were the denominations struck in Proof but they were Sterling Silver Proofs. We have obtained between 11 and 19 pieces of each of these £2 coins, which we now offer you now. You can now add it to your collection in beautiful Sterling Silver Proofs. This is one of the three most collected denominations and we only have a small quantity of each, so please do not miss out on this coin. Last year the Royal Mint issued a silver Britannia. But what most collectors don’t realize is that they also issued a silver Britannia with dogs countermarked on the edge. This was for the Chinese year of the dog. Both our supplier and the Royal Mint have sold out. The coins have £2 face value and are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition containing one ounce of pure silver. If you look on the edge of the coin you will see five small dogs countermarked on the edge. This could be a sleeper, the countermarked Britannia we had last year quickly sold out and we have been unable to get any more, so please be warned...

We have obtained some early strikes in Choice Brilliant Uncirculated condition of the 2022 Silver Britiannia. Each £2 coin contains an ounce of 999 fine silver and is one of the first struck from new fresh dies. In America they charge extra for first strikes, we do NOT charge anything extra for early strikes.

We have been able to get first strikes of the New 2019 Silver Britannia coins. They are 1 ounce of 999 Fine silver and in Prooflike Uncirculated condition, they are beautiful and choice, and wouldn’t they make excellent holiday gifts? You have Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a standing figure of Britannia on the reverse. They look almost like a Proof and remember these are early first strikes and just beautiful. Be one of the first to have the New 2019 Silver Britannia, we were only allowed 300 pieces, so please get in quickly if you want one in time for the holiday season. Of course, we will have more later, but these are early strikes and we have them now!

Each coin contains 1 ounce of pure silver, 31.1 grams, is in Choice Brilliant Uncirculated condition, and has a face value of £2.00. We are offering you the beautiful 2021 Silver Britannia in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Each 999 fine silver coin contains one ounce of pure silver. It was issued by the Royal Mint and is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

For some reason the Royal Mint is issuing the 2023 Silver Britannia with the Queen’s portrait on them! IWe were wrong when we said that the 2022 would be the last Queen Elizabeth II issue. My guess is they were struck before she died, we also understand that a King Charles Silver Britannia will be struck later in the year. But surprise, surprise not only was the 2023 Silver Britannia struck with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, but we have them in stock ready to be sent out now! We have Choice Brilliant Uncirculated Early Strike examples in stock and ready to sell them to you today. Each of these 2018 £2 Silver Britannia coin contains an ounce of pure Silver, and the design has been revamped. In 2016 they redid the reverse, to make it reflect the light better. In 2017 they also did the obverse, the field has cross hatching to make the light sparkle off the portrait of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II. These coins are gorgeous and we are sure you will love them. These coins are all Brilliant Uncirculated but they look like Proofs.

A dealer we know broke up some Royal Mint 2009 all Silver Proof Sets for the Kew Gardens 50p. We were able to buy the rest of the sets at a most reasonable price, which we are now passing on to you.
