Queen Mother 90th Birthday £5

In 1990 the late Queen Mother celebrated her 90th birthday and the Royal Mint issued a special commemorative £5 piece to honour that event. They also issued a specimen example in an early type of bubble pack, not as fancy as the modern packaging, not as expensive as the modern ones either. You have a crowned cipher on the reverse with the dates 1900 1990 and H. M. the Queen on the obverse. These are still mint sealed, in a smaller package which is easier to store. We found 25 of them in one of the vault rooms and while they last, you can have one for an incredible price.

1953 Coronation Crown in Orig Case

Many collectors don’t realize that many of the 1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Crowns were issued in a black plastic case. It is unusual today to see these coins in those cases; in fact we would say that the cases are rarer than the crowns. Well as luck would have it, we bought from a coin dealer who is retiring, 100 pieces of the 1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Crown in Brilliant Uncirculated condition in the original black plastic cases they were issued in. We have seen just normal examples offered for as high as £29.50 in the National Press. So I think that our price in the original cases is quite a good price. Supplies are limited and once they are gone, we wouldn’t know where to find any more.

2018 Silver Britannia

Each of these 2018 £2 Silver Britannia coin contains an ounce of pure Silver, and the design has been revamped. In 2016 they redid the reverse, to make it reflect the light better. Last year they also did the obverse, the field has cross hatching to make the light sparkle off the portrait of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II. These coins are gorgeous and I am sure you will love them. The price of silver is a bit stronger, but we have held our price of just £32.50 or an original Mint roll of 25 Brilliant Uncirculated coins for just £745.00. These coins are all Brilliant Uncirculated but they look like Proofs.
