Peru, 1/2 Dinero Unc

A group of these early Peru silver coins came up at auction and we bought them! The denomination is 1/2 Dinero and they were issued between 1901 and 1917, which means of course, that they are over 100 years old, but also in uncirculated condition. You do not see these coins in such high grade all that often. We were delighted to buy the lot, as the price was reasonable and the quality very high, a combination you don’t often get. They are small Silver coins, but of high grade silver (900 fine), as Peru is known for being an important silver producer. The quality is outstanding and we can supply a few different dates. For a coin you never see in excellent condition, what more can you ask for?

Cuba, 1 Pesos 1981 Flora Azahar CN

This cupronickel One Peso coin was issued by Cuba in 1981, it was part of the Plant and Flora series. This particular coin depicts the Azahar flower. What I find most amazing is the mintage. According to Krause the mintage is just 3,000 coins, which in any case would be very low indeed. The coins are large and thick and in Uncirculated condition and with a mintage of just 3,000 coins, rather difficult to get. While our small supply lasts, you can have this Cuban 1 Peso for just £7.95.

Russia, South Russia 10,000 roubles 1919 PS425 VF

In the immediate aftermath of the Russian Revolution, there were many different issues of banknotes before a unified currency was introduced in the early 1920’s. These 10,000 rouble notes dated 1919 were issued in South Russia (PS425) Like many of the notes at the time, they are fairly crude and poorly printed affairs. We are delighted to offer this 10,000 rouble note here in Very Fine (VF) condition.
