Picture of Switzerland, Shooting Festival Medal

Switzerland, Shooting Festival Medal

For Centuries the Swiss have had shooting festivals, do you remember William Tell, his son and the apple? There were many shooting festivals all over Switzerland and it was with great pride when someone won one of the contests. The cost of producing these medallions is quite high as is the prestige of winning one of them. If you won a shooting festival you were presented with a medal on a ribbon and that is what we are offering here. There are a number of different designs and years, the ones on offer are from about 1949-1970. The medal supplied may be different from those illustrated. 20th century shooting competition medal from around 1949-1970

Picture of Elizabeth II, £2 (Two Dragons) Proof in Capsule

Elizabeth II, £2 (Two Dragons) Proof in Capsule

The Royal Mint issued a rather handsome Silver Crownsized £2 coin and called it ‘The Two Dragons’. This piece shows both the Eastern dragon and the Welsh dragon. It contains one ounce of pure Proof silver, it was struck in 2018 and the entire mintage of 2,500 coins was sold to one overseas dealer. But NO British collectors were offered the chance to add this important and beautiful coin to their collection! We find that very wrong, after all, how can a British collector complete his or her collection when all of these British coins were sold outside the country? Coincraft is giving you that chance, and at much less than the Mint would have charged. Probably the difference between a private company doing business and a government-owned company trying to do business. Our price is just £68.50 in the capsule with Royal Mint certificate.

Picture of 10 FDCs Special Offer

10 FDCs Special Offer

We have just taken delivery of 20 crates containing some 31,250 First Day Covers (FDC) and even at our new location, they take up a lot of space. Most are British, a few are from the Channel Islands, and few from overseas. Normally we would sort them, so as to be able to offer them by type, but this time there are just too many and we are too busy trying to get our stock in order! Many of you have ordered our FDC packages in the past and very few were ever returned. This is in many ways a much more interesting lot and fresh to the market. Some of the covers are from the 1960s others are much more modern but all are First Day Covers. Most British commemoratives but there are also British fiscal FDCs that are scarcer and a few from other countries. We have asked staff members, who know nothing about stamps to make up packages of 10 different covers. Just count them out and make sure there are NO duplicates. That way every collector has the same chance to get some wonderful covers. We are going to offer a package of 10 different First Day Covers at a special price of just £8.95 that is less than 90p a cover! They make great gifts, and the holiday season is almost here. While they last 10 FDCs for just £8.95. We think it is good value and you will love them.
