Victorian Copper Halfpenny Very Fine

Victorian Copper Halfpenny Very Fine. The three biggest denominations stuck in Victorian times in copper were the Penny, Halfpenny and Farthing. The most difficult of these three is the Halfpenny, which we are now offering you. You have the youthful portrait of Queen Victoria on one side and a beautiful seated Britannia on the other side. They are thick as they are struck in copper rather than the thinner bronze which took over in 1860. Dates will be of our choice, but there are no rare dates in the group. We have them in Very Fine and Extremely Fine condition. Please remember that the Halfpenny is the most difficult large Victorian copper to get.
