Germany, German Empire Silver Half Mark

These German Half Marks were struck in silver and issued from 1911-1915, World War One put a stop to them. The coins are Extremely Fine condition and now are over 100 years old. At one time they were common, but as collectors started to buy them, they turned out to be anything but common. Dates and mint marks are of our choice, basically it whatever comes out of the bag. If you order more than one we will try to give you as many different dates and mint marks as you order coins.

P S Beale £1 Britannia B268 Fine

PS Beale was Chief Cashier from 1949 until 1954. During that period only 3 denominations were issued – the 10 shillings, £1 and £5. The £1 note signed by Beale followed the Britannia design. A vignette of a seated Britannia appears on the front (B268) On the back, running along to top of the note is a view of the façade of The Bank of England Headquarters in Threadneedle Street. Below set in a bed of acanthus leaves we find the Pistrucci reverse of the gold sovereign- the £1 equivalent at the time. We offer the Beale Britannia £1 note here in Fine condition.

Hungary, Silver 1 Kroner

The Holy Roman Empire, which was neither Holy, nor Roman nor an empire, basically encompassed Austria and Hungary. The coins of Hungary are the hardest to get, so I am proud to offer you a 1 Kroner of Hungary dated 1912-1916. On the obverse you have the uncrowned bust of Franz Joseph I and on the reverse you have a crown above the denomination. These are beautiful untouched silver coins in Extremely Fine condition. Dates of our choice but up to three different dates are available.

George V, H Penny Circulated, 1919

This is the 1919 H Penny, the last to be struck outside the Mint. It was struck by the Heaton Mint in Birmingham, that is why it carries the H mint mark. These are nice coins, used but better than average for a coin that is now over 90 years old. Add one to your collection and your folder will be closer to filling up…
