Tristan da Cunha is one of three Atlantic Ocean island nations, ruled by a common British Governor; the other two are St. Helena and Ascension Island. The other two I have visited, but to visit Tristan on the RMS Ship, you have to be healthy enough to climb a rope ladder to get back on board, if the waves get too rough. Something I could not do. But in 1979 the Queen Elizabeth II ship did visit the island, it was the inaugural visit and as far as I know their only visit. Tristan issued a special souvenir sheet of five stamps all depicting ships and it comes in a full-colour booklet filled with information. But there is something even more important. On the back cover, there are the actual signatures of the leaders of the seven families that live on Tristan da Cunha. Oh, didn’t I tell you that only about 275 people live there? This is a unique souvenir sheet of mint stamps, informative booklets, and signatures of the seven families. We are selling it at a very reasonable price too...

Issued by Tristan da Cunha in 2010 to mark the Birth & Accession of Elizabeth II. In 2010 Two different crowns, the first features her parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth holding their new born daughter (the future Queen Elizabeth II). The second crown shows the young Princess who’s Accession in 1952 made her Queen Elizabeth II. Both are crownsized and have the denomination One Crown, both are gold plated and in Proof condition and both come in their original capsules.

Sir Walter Raleigh was Queen Elizabeth I’s favourite until he fell out of favour and then… He was known as an explorer and hero but also for bringing tobacco from the New World to this country. Something many people might not like today. This beautiful Prooflike crown was issued in 2010 by Tristan da Cunha and has Sir Walter Raleigh on one side and Queen Elizabeth II on the other. The British flag is highlighted in red, white and blue and the whole coin has been gold plated. They are in Proof condition and come in a protective capsule. This huge Five Crown Piece from Tristan da Cunha was issued in 2011, to celebrate the 85th birthday of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II. You have King George VI and Queen Elizabeth holding a little bundle of joy, Princess Elizabeth, the future Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse legend reads Birth of a Princess 1926.
