From the French series we offer the beautiful Silver Half Francs of 1918, issued at the end of World War I. These are based on a painting by a famous French artist. We have selected Extremely Fine or better examples. We have sold these most attractive silver coins for as much as £14.50. France 100 Francs 1982/83 Silver Parthenon

These silver commemoratives were issued by France before it joined the Euro. They had a face value of 100 Francs about £10 face value and were struck in silver. Supplies are very limited and the coins are in Uncirculated condition, get them while you can.

France 50 Cent Unc

This French Silver coin depicting the portrait of a woman sowing on a farm is based on a painting by Millet. They were issued from the late 1890s until about 1919. It is about the size of the British Sixpence. But their price is much less than you would have to pay for similar British coins in similar condition. Dates will be of our choice, but most are toward the end of the date run, but all coins are in Uncirculated condition with nice light toning. Worth adding to your collection, especially at this price.

France 50 Francs 1947 P127a Uncirculated

Crisp Uncirculated examples of the 50 francs issued by France in 1947 (P127b) They are beautifully printed in delicate pastel shades. These charming notes honour Urbain Le Verrier, a 19th century mathematician who specialised in celestial mechanics which allowed him in 1846, using mathematics alone,to predict the existence and position of Neptune which at that time was an unknown planet. The front of the notes has a portrait of Le Verrier while the back has a stunning illustration of Neptune and the date 1846. Another great note in superb condition; crisp, uncirculated at £84.50

France 50 francs from 1975 (P148s). A magnificent note in pink/grey and featuring Racine on obverse right with buildings in centre. On reverse, features Racine on left side with buildings in background. A lovely note in true French style and in Good-Extremely Fine / Uncirculated condition.
