Elizabeth II, Crown (Coronation) 1953 Extremely Fine

It is now 65 years since Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II. I have been privileged to visit Tree Tops where they have a plaque commemorating the place that Elizabeth first became Queen. This is the first Queen Elizabeth II Crown, this is the Coronation Crown, and this is the first coin to be issued for our Monarch. It shows the Queen riding on her horse and the design was much more unusual than anything issued before it. Despite being 65 years old and the first coin of our Monarch, the prices are still very reasonable, or at least our prices are. I have seen one of the marketing companies charging £30 for one and they don’t even give you the grade. We are offering these in Extremely Fine.

Picture of Victoria, Farthing (Young Head) Copper Very Fine

Victoria, Farthing (Young Head) Copper Very Fine

When Queen Victoria came to the throne the smaller coins were struck in Copper, rather than the bronze that they used from 1860. You have the beautiful Young Head of Queen Victoria on one side and the figure of a seated Britannia on the other side. They were issued from 1839-1859 for circulation. The coins on offer are in Very Fine condition, which is quite high grade for these coins. Remember they were in everyday usage and therefore saw a lot of wear. The usual grade they come in is Very Good or maybe Fine, the coins on offer are in Very Fine condition. Dates will be of our choice, but the more you order the more different dates we will try and give you.
