Elizabeth II, £2 (Millennium) 2000 Silver Proof

This one is a winner, the £2 issued for the Millennium in 2000, but a Sterling Silver Proof coin. It has two different colours, but the outer ring is gold plated and the coin is solid Sterling Silver and a gleaming proof. This is the new design with, of course, the portrait of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. These Royal Mint coins come in a protective capsule as issued. Remember they are now 21 years old and much cheaper than the Mint charges for similar pieces today.

1953 Coronation Crown Proof_obv

Elizabeth II, Crown (Coronation) 1953 Proof

We found a small number of the 1953 Coronation Crown in Proof condition in stock. These had to come from Proof Sets as they didn’t issue the crown in proof as a single coin. We have heard of some crazy prices that are either being asked for this coin or even sold for. These coins are Proof and that is all we will say about them. Some have a sort of misty toning on them, we do not touch or clean them. They are Proof 1953 Coronation Crowns from a 1953 Proof Set.

Elizabeth II, The Last 5 Crowns Collection

Fantastic Collection of the last 5 Crowns Ever In 1981 the Royal Mint issued its last British Crown ever. They are issuing crown-sized coins today, but they have a nominal face value of £5 and they are certainly NOT crowns. The last Five Crowns ever were, Churchill Crown 1965, Silver Wedding Crown 1972, Silver Jubilee Crown 1977, Queen Mother’s 80th Birthday Crown and Charles & Diana’s Wedding Crown 1981. Remember the first crown-sized coin of five shillings was issued in 1551 by King Edward VI and the last one was in 1981. We have had a fantastic package made to display the last five crowns and it is exclusive to Coincraft. These sets make excellent gifts for family, friends and business associates. One marketing company is selling the 1977 Crown on its own for £9.95, so our price of just £24.95 for all five crowns is very reasonable.
