Acollection of all five of the United States State Quarters issued in 2005 all in Proof condition.
This set is now 13 years old and you get one quarter each from California,
Minnesota, Oregon, Kansas and West Virginia.
These are legal tender coins and can be used anywhere as money, but they are in Proof condition
and thus are specially struck for collectors. All five coins in the official United States
Mint case of issue.
Charles Barber was the Chief Engraver at the Philadelphia Mint in the United States. But
he was also British and most collectors don’t know that. He designed many coins from the
Dime (10c) to the Half Dollar. His coins circulated from 1892 to 1916, when the designs were
replaced with others.
We have always found that the smallest denomination, the Dime or 10 Cents is difficult to get
hold of. The coins have the bust of Liberty on one side and the denomination on the other side.
They are struck in 900 fine Silver and the coins on offer are in Very Good condition, especially
considering that they are over 100 years old.
If you have bought the other denominations, you will certainly want to add this denomination
to your collection, but supplies are limited.
There were four major types of Silver Dollars issued by the United
States Mint in the 20th Century. This one is the Morgan Dollar and it comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and is struck in 900 fine silver.
The Morgan Dollar is dated 1921, a one year type coin.
The last time we had this set for sale it did very well. It was
issued by the Canadian company ‘Husky Self Service Stations’
in 1970. They were struck by the famous, but no longer making
coins, Franklin Mint. Each copper medallion depicts a famous figure
from the old West and the collection comes with a booklet
telling you who each one is and what they did. Plus a presentation
card for displaying the whole collection.
Each medallion is still in the original cellophane envelope that
it was issued in. You get an eight page information booklet which
not only tells you about the person on the medallion, but also an
image of how they looked. Plus, a 4 page leaflet telling you about
the issue of these medallions. Finally a full colour cardboard display
card to mount and show off the entire collection of 13 pieces.
The ‘cowboys’ depicted are: Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill
Hickok, Wyatt Earp, Kit Carson, Bat Masterson, Meriwether
Lewis and William Clark. The Native Americans depicted are:
Geronimo, Chief Joseph, Sitting Bull, Black Hawk, Sacajawea and
Crazy Horse. There are a total of 13 different bronze medallions all
in pristine, unopened, new condition. And remember this set is 48
years old! Don’t miss out on this one.
The United States Silver Peace Dollar was first struck in 1921 and the coins were meant to be in
everyday usage. They are full crownsized and struck in 900 fine Silver. Many consider it to be
one of America’s most attractive coins.
Now there is nothing rare about the 1923 date, it is just not all that easy to find when you are
looking for it. We suppose the more dates they made, the less likely people were to put them aside. After
all a Silver Dollar in 1923 was still considered a sizable amount of money.
The coins on offer are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, which considering that they are now
95 years old, is quite impressive. A similar British coin in similar condition would cost you several
hundred pounds at least. While supplies last you can own a Brilliant Uncirculated 1923 US Silver
Dollar for a highly competitive price.
Beautiful United States Morgan Silver Dollars. Each coin has been encapsulated to authenticate it and to grade it, they grade 64 out of 70
which means a Choice Uncirculated coin. Coins struck in New Orleans, Louisiana have an ‘O’ mint mark. All coins are choice Brilliant Uncirculated and you will love them.
