USA Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar Various Dates Silver Fine

In 1916 the United States Mint changed over from the Barber Quarter to the Liberty Standing Quarter. Unfortunately the designer used a more European model of Liberty with one of her breasts exposed. It caused a scandal and uproar. After all, you couldn’t have bare breasts being shown on your coins. After all, no one had ever seen a bare breast, unless they were feeding their child or you had seen classical sculpture or painting or you had … So in 1917 this design was changed and the offending breast was covered up. The Standing Liberty Quarter was issued until 1930. All of our coins are of the non offending kind, mainly because they are better value. All coins are in Fine condition and it is one of America’s most beautiful silver coins. Dates will be of our choice, but all coins are nice examples in Fine condition and struck in .900 fine Silver.

USA WW2 Walking Liberty Half

In 1916 a new Half Dollar coin was issued, it was engraved by Adolph A. Weinman and this design continued to be struck until 1947. On one side you have Liberty walking with the wind blowing the drapes of her dress. On the other side you have an American Bald Eagle wings spread, almost looking like she is walking too. It is no wonder that these coins are called the Walking Liberty Half Dollars. The coins on offer are mostly from the 1940’s and are in Fine or better condition. The Silver Eagle design is based on this coin, but the engraver of this Half Dollar was much better. Nice coins and now about 70 years old and getting more and more difficult to find.

USA 1921 Morgan Dollar Circulated

The Morgan silver dollar is named after its British engraver George Morgan. They stopped making them in 1904, but for some reason they made them again in 1921, the same year they made the Peace Dollar for the first time. The 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars are very different than the previous issue. The relief is much lower and even from a distance you can quickly see the difference. They are struck in 900 fine silver and as stated are a one year only type coin. They are the last ever Morgan Silver Dollar. On offer here is a circulated example of this one-year type coin.

US Mercury Dime Abt Unc

Considered to be one of the most beautiful American coins, the Mercury Dime was made between 1916 and 1945. They are struck in 900 fine Silver and have the head of Mercury on the obverse. Normally we get this coin in Fine condition, but we just bought a high grade lot of them. They are all toward the end of the run, date wise, but the condition is About Uncirculated and many dealers would call these coins Uncirculated. It is a beautiful coin in high grade. We call them About Uncirculated, in the States they call them sliders. Dates will be of our choice, but all are in the 1930’s and 40’s. A beautiful silver coin in a condition that will appeal to you.
