EL2 VICT TO TRISTAN DA CUNHA FDS 7 HEAD PACK

Tristan da Cunha is one of three Atlantic Ocean island nations, ruled by a common British Governor; the other two are St. Helena and Ascension Island. In 1979 the Queen Elizabeth II ship visited the island, it was the inaugural visit and as far as we know their only visit. Tristan issued a special souvenir sheet of five stamps all depicting ships and it comes in a full colour booklet filled with information. But there is something even more important. On the back cover there are the actual signatures of the leaders of the seven families that live on Tristan da Cunha. Oh, didn’t we tell you that only about 275 people live there. This is a unique souvenir sheet of mint stamps, informative booklet and signatures of the seven families, which we find fascinating.
