Endangered Wildlife Set of 4

This is a fantastic set of four crownsized 10 Kwacha coins from Malawi. They depict four endangered animals: Tree Pangolin, Chevrotain, Lemur and Pygmy- Hippo. The coat of arms of Malawi are on the obverse. Interesting history, these are copper coins which have been heavily silver plated before striking. At the time no information was available and everyone thought they were solid silver. But they are silver plated Proofs, each in a protective capsule. The set use to sell for £120 when they thought they were silver, even as silver plated the set still catalogues at about £54.00. But we bought them right so we are going to sell them right!
