Here is a wonderful crown issued by TDC (Tristan da Cunha) for the
Diamond Jubilee of H. M. Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. They are full crownsized,
plated in gold and have a full colour photo on the obverse. Our supplies are very limited.
Marco Polo was an explorer born in Venice in 1254. He went with his father and uncle on a 24 year
voyage to China, India and Japan. When he got back he documented his travels and became one
of the most famous and well known explorers of all time. In 1269 when he was only 15 years old he even
met the great Kublai Khan.
This diamond shaped crown was issued by one of the most remote inhabited places in the world,
Tristan da Cunha. You have H.M. the Queen on one side and Marco Polo with a ship and a steering wheel
on the other side. They are stuck in Proof quality and are silver plated. They come in a protective capsule
and the overall look is fantastic. Add one of the most important explorers to your collection.
Captain James Cook on his three voyages to the South Pacific, mapped all of New Zealand,
much of the East Coast of Australia, found the Sandwich Islands and South Georgia. He
was also the first European to begin formal contact with the Hawaii Islands. Which was unfortunate,
as when he returned there, there was a terrible fight and he was killed in 1779.
This handsome silver plated diamond shaped coin from Tristan da Cunha honours this great
explorer. You have Captain James Cook on one side with his sailing ship and a ships wheel
behind him. The other side has H.M. the Queen. Each large sized diamond shaped crown
comes in a unique heavy plastic capsule to protect the proof surface. A great man and a wonderful
coin, what more could you ask for?
On the 22nd of July 2013 Prince George was born to Prince William and Princess Catherine. Australia
issued a handsome Silver Proof Crown or Dollar to honour the event. You have the happy couple
with the baby on one side and the delighted Grand Mother, Elizabeth II on the other side.
Struck in 99.9 pure silver this crownsized coin weighs 31.135 grams or a full troy ounce of silver. The
mintage was 10,000 pieces and each comes with a certificate of authenticity and a presentation case from
the Perth Mint.
As the Royal Mint charges about £80 for a crownsized coin in only Sterling Silver, this must be real
value at only £49.50. After all this little infant will one day be our King.
This beautiful Crown was issued by ‘TDC’ or Tristan da Cunha in 2010 to honour Sir
Horatio Nelson, Hero of the battle of Trafalgar 1805. You have Nelson in full naval uniform
and his ship H.M.S. Victory to his side. A full colour enamelled British Flag is to his left.
H.M. Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse. The full crownsized coin is gold plated and then
put in a protective capsule.
It is a beautiful and extremely well engraved coin and honours a truly great hero of the
British Navy. This is the first time that we have had them to offer and our
supplies are limited. Unfortunately we can never get as many pieces as we would like. We
offer them for a special price because we buy all or as few as they have.
Well worth adding to your collection.
