Tristan da Cunha, 70th Anniversary Battle of Britain Crown
In 2010 the world celebrated the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, one of our most important
victories during World War II. ‘TDC’ or Tristan da Cunha honoured this event by issuing a rather
attractive and important Crown.
You have H.M. the Queen on the obverse and a battle scene on the reverse. There are three airplanes
fighting it out in the sky over Britain, to the left is a full colour British Flag, enamelled. This crown sized
piece has been gold plated, struck in proof condition and then placed in a protective capsule to protect
the finish of the coin.
As our supply is not all that great, it could be the last time we can offer them. Beautiful and priced to
please most collectors, but supplies are limited.
