Illustrations make reference to Syria’s rich ancient history with cuneiform tablets, amphitheatres, an ancient water wheel, decorated friezes, women baking and eagle stone sculptures alongside views of modern Syria, with President Assad, a soldier saluting the flag and modern building complexes.
