Commemorative 50th Anniversary of the UN Silver Proof £2 coin

This attractive and rather scarce crown was issued in 1995 for the 50th anniversary of the United Nations. It was struck by the Royal Mint as part of their series, unfortunately it was not a success and not all that many of them were issued. The coin on offer also has the Official full colour bubble pack with it giving you information about the coin and the country. In 1995 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, the Royal Mint issued a series of crown sized coins. The event did not hit the peak the Royal Mint wanted, especially as they spent most of their time trying to promote the Silver issues. So that the cupronickel issues have turned out to be the scarcest of the issue. One of these was from Seychelles. We find that we are running short and this could be your last time on this one. The crown is Uncirculated and as far as I know, we have the last group of these coins available. Good value and now 23 years old.
