Spain, Four-Coin Set (FIFA World Cup) 1982

We can now offer you this 4-coin set struck between 1980 and 1982 to commemorate the 1982 World Cup which was held in Spain itself. The coins all bear the image of King Juan Carlos I on the obverse and “ESPAÑA ‘82” on the reverse side. Apart from the 1, 5 and 25 peseta coins, we have included the small aluminium 50 centimo coin, which had a low mintage, barely circulated, and was the last in this denomination ever to be minted. It did, however, remain legal tender until the introduction of the euro until 2001.
