A nice group of King George VI Wren Farthings in Uncirculated condition. They have touches of lustre, but have seen no wear, they mellowed over the years as most copper and bronze coins will. By the 1930s, the commonly used pennies were rather unpopular with businesses, silver Threepence was also unpopular. So a new coin was introduced - a larger brass version of the three pence coin. The new brass Threepence was Britain’s first twelve-sided coin, which proved very popular and its design inspired the new £1 coin in 2017.
