In 1994 the Royal Mint issued a commemorative 50 Pence for the 50th Anniversary of D-Day, one of the most important days in World War II. It was the older large sized 50 Pence and today it is very difficult to find, especially in Uncirculated condition. One of the marketing companies is selling this coin for £11.00, which we think is far too much. True it is difficult to find, but still £11.00 is a lot of money. We have some in stock and are offering it for £6.95, which we believe is a much more realistic and fairer price. You be the judge, do you want this coin from a marketing company at £11.00 or from a coin dealer for £6.95?

Elizabeth II, 50 Pence (ECC) 1973 BU

Let’s be honest, forget all the bull that is being given out, this was the first Brexit coin. It is an old large-sized 50 Pence which was issued in 1973. It was the first-ever commemorative 50 Pence pieces, the series they are issuing today are based on this coin. It was issued to honour our joining the European Economic Community or EU for short. In 1973 we joined it, in 2021 we are finally rid of it. They were only issued in cupro-nickel but in both Uncirculated and Proof condition. Without this coin, we could never have a coin for leaving the EU, if you aren’t a member you cannot resign. Much underappreciated even though it was our first-ever commemorative 50p, which is now 47 years old. We can offer it in Brilliant Uncirculated, Proof and Proof with the Royal Mint case. The choice is yours.

Picture of George VI, World War II (1937-1945) Set

George VI, World War II (1937-1945) Set

This is a fantastic new collection of coins, stamps and a banknote from World War II. It is exclusive to Coincraft and there were only 5,000 sets made. They make excellent gifts and are rather handsome. You get a set of 4 British coins of King George VI that actually circulated during the Second World War; all coins are dated 1937-1945. They consist of the Brass Threepence, Penny, Halfpenny, and Farthing. You also get the 1943 United States Cent struck in steel; it was only ever struck for one year. Plus a Cent dated 1944-1946 which was made from melted down shell cases. You get a Churchill crown, as he was our wartime Prime Minister. You also get a large-sized 1 Lire coin from Italy dated 1940, the year they declared war against Great Britain. Plus you get a pair of mint stamps for the Liberation of the Channel Islands with King George VI’s portrait. Plus two mint stamps from the United States showing the overrun nations of The Netherlands and Luxembourg. Plus a stamp issued by this country just after the War, where they reduced the colour to save ink. Finally, you get a large-sized 10 Rupee note from Burma, issued while it was under Japanese occupation. Don’t miss out on this fantastic collection.

Illuminated Magnifier

Precision Illuminated Magnifier: this is a folding loupe that has a built-in light. We find that if you put the coin or banknote between the loupe and the lamp, the light is often cut out. This magnifying glass has a built-in light source so you don’t get any black spaces. It is 10 Power.
