The island of Guernsey issued a Special commemorative Silver Proof £1.00 coin for the Queen’s 70th Birthday. On the obverse you have the crowned head of the Queen. The reverse has the Queen in a hat with the arms of Guernsey and a Castle.
They were struck in Proof Sterling Silver and each piece comes in a protective capsule. I believe that they were originally issued at £24.50, but our price is only £12.50, which I think is a bargain!
You get the Special Sterling Silver Proof Pound issued for the Queen’s 70th Birthday at about 50% of the original issue price. I do think that these are excellent value for the money!
