In 1937 when King George VI was crowned only two countries issued a Coronation Crown, the United Kingdom and Australia. I guess it was because of the Abdication of his older brother Edward VIII, that there just wasn’t enough time to make preparations for a Coronation Crown.
The Australian Silver Crown is on offer this issue in Extremely Fine condition. These Australian Silver Crowns are around in the lesser grades, but in the higher grades they are difficult to get.
Now is your chance to add the only other Coronation Crown to your collection and at a price, which is reasonable. This Crown is scarce in this grade and it will make a nice pair with the United Kingdom Silver Coronation Crown.
