We recently found in one of our vault rooms, a number of canvas bags, which when we opened them, contained 50,000 mixed circulated Half Pences 1971-1983.
I don’t know why we bought them or where they came from, but for sure they are there, taking up space and costing me money! So I am going to offer them to you at a very special price, you get a bargain and we get the room we so badly need.
Before you dismiss these coins, remember that the last time they were issued for circulation was in 1983 and that is 18 years ago! It was one of the shortest-lived series in our coinage history. First struck in 1971 last struck in 1983, although some 1984 coins were issued for the sets.
I am selling them as they come, we will weigh them out and who knows what dates you might find. But to make it even more interesting with each parcel I will include a Brilliant Uncirculated 1984 halfpence and a Brilliant Uncirculated 1967 Halfpenny. These two coins are a £6.95 value.
Remember that the newest coin is 20 years old and the oldest coin is 33 years old.
Because of postage cost, these are only for sale in the UK |
