Roll of 40 1997 USA Quarters BU_main

Roll of 40 1997 USA Quarters BU

First, let us say that we do not think that the 1997 United States quarter (25c) is rare, but in Krause for some reason they list it at $22.50 in MS65! So we put ‘ ’ around the word rare to get your attention. We have rolls of these coins, 40 coins in a bank wrapped roll in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. In theory they catalogue $900.00 (£715). I think this is an error on the part of the catalogue, but then again they have high prices on the 1998 quarters as well. Coincraft – Britain’s Coin Shop is either making a horrible mistake or offering you a fantastic bargain. We have 18 rolls available and are limiting them to one roll (40 coins) per collector.

United States of America, Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar Various Dates Silver Fine

In 1916 the United States Mint changed over from the Barber Quarter to the Liberty Standing Quarter. Unfortunately, the designer used a more European model of Liberty with one of her breasts exposed. It caused a scandal and uproar. After all, you couldn’t have bare breasts being shown on your coins. After all, no one had ever seen a bare breast, unless they were feeding their child or you had seen classical sculpture or painting or you had … So in 1917 this design was changed and the offending breast was covered up. The Standing Liberty Quarter was issued until 1930. All of our coins are of the non offending kind, mainly because they are better value. All coins are in Fine condition and it is one of America’s most beautiful silver coins. Dates will be of our choice, but all coins are nice examples in Fine condition and struck in .900 fine Silver.

United States of America, Quarter 1976 Clad Proof S

In 1976, the United States celebrated the bi-centennial of gaining freedom from…. the US! Yes, it was over two hundred years ago that the two nations split, fiscally but not emotionally. The US Mint made new designs for the 25c, 50c and $1 coins. We knew we had some of the 1976 Quarters or 25c pieces in Proof, the only problem was finding them? Well, 4-5 years later, here they are. We never lose anything, but we do misplace the odd coin or two. You have a drummer beating his drum with a flame in a circle behind. It is a one year design, Choice Proof coins, struck in cupronickel by the US Mint and finally available to you again!

USA 1964 Silver Quarter Dollar Uncirculated

It is now 60 years since the United States introduced the cupronickel-clad quarters we see today due to rising silver prices. Before they were replaced by the so-called “Johnson Sandwich” in honour of then President Lyndon B. Johnson, the coins were struck in 90% fine silver. We can now offer you these Uncirculated Washington quarters minted in 1964, the last year they were struck in silver. The obverse shows the first president facing left, while the reverse depicts an eagle with its wings outspread and perched between two olive branches.
