1981 Proof Set Medal

Each year from 1970 until 1996 the Royal Mint struck a special rectangular medal for inclusion in the Proof Set. These medals are bronze and have sometimes been darkened to blend in with the Proof Set. They are dated and they issued one a year. Here we offer the 1981 medal. We normally sell these medals for between £3.95-£5.95, but right now we are selling them at a special price, because we need the storage space!

Russia, South Russia 10,000 Roubles 1919 PS425 Fine

In the immediate aftermath of the Russian Revolution, there were many different issues of banknotes before a unified currency was introduced in the early 1920’s. These 10,000 rouble notes dated 1919 were issued in South Russia (PS425) Like many of the notes at the time, they are fairly crude and poorly printed affairs. We are delighted to offer this 10,000 rouble note here in Fine (F) condition.
